5 Pound Gummy Tattoo Collective

I originally left a very positive review after my first session because I was genuinely impressed and excited about how the cover-up was progressing. UPDATE: Unfortunately, after seeing the finished tattoo, my opinion has completely changed. I’m extremely disappointed with the final result. Several areas look poorly executed and unfinished, almost as if the artist didn’t know how to complete the design and just filled in or stopped working certain areas. Even more frustrating, the 22-year-old tattoo this was supposed to cover is still clearly visible in places. This was supposed to be a cover-up that I would be proud to wear, and instead I’m now looking for another artist to fix the finished tattoo. That means additional time, money, and work to correct something I expected to be done properly the first time. I hate having to change my original review because I was genuinely happy after the first session, but the finished product simply isn’t what I was expecting or what I feel I paid for. The artist might be a good artist on blank clear skin but when it comes to cover ups I'm not a fan.

Got my very first tattoo with Matt, and the experience was amazing! He was incredibly helpful throughout the whole process and made me feel completely comfortable. The tattoo turned out great. Highly recommend Matt and the shop

With having over 15 tattoos. This was by far the best experience that I’ve had. Very respectful and understanding with the process from beginning to end. Very safe and clean environment. I definitely recommend setting up a consultation before reaching out to any other shop. 5lb Gummy is the spot to go to. I have absolutely no words for this amazing piece of art that I get to walk with everyday. Just look for your self

Just what I was looking for in a shop considering 25 years since last tattoo. Consultation to discuss themes and provide ideas. The artist created and presented two unique one of a kind designs on day of first session. Picked my favorite and off we went. The second design elements will probably get worked into my other sleeve. Excellent artistry with what was done so far in session 1 of 3. No doubts the other sessions will be great. These guys are over the top, highly recommend. ‘The Tahoe Guy’

Mike and Mehta. A hidden secret in the sweetest place on earth. It might be the way of filtering the clientele, but emailing will go to your spam/junk folder, so keep a look out. Google Maps sends you to back alley. See pics. The art is high is amazing, and you should be prepared to help connect the tattoo to what you want. My tattoos are always meaningful, and you need to help bring them to life. Mike is considerate and wants to connect to his art. This is a personal experience that you need to take seriously. The shop has changed over the past month, but the high quality has not. I will be back.
