Allison is the best. She removed some piercings for me and replaced my cartilage piercings. She was so great, it didn’t hurt at all and she was so friendly! Highly recommend coming here for all your piercing needs.

Because this is my very first tattoo (I’m an 73 yr old female) only thing I knew when I walked in to Poppycock Tattoo was the initial fee and the subject I wanted (butterfly). I met Dave. Quiet spoken but with many years of work experience and very knowledgeable. I explained what I wanted and Dave showed me a mock up which was exactly what I wanted. The needle “pain” was much milder than I expected. To say I’m thrilled with the way the butterfly turned out would be an understatement. The interior is spotless and really fun. Very eclectic. Artwork from the tattoo artists hanging on the walls, all kinds of knick knacks at each station. And the restroom is bright and clean. If you live in (or near) N. Wilmington and considering getting a tattoo I highly recommend Dave @ Poppycock Tattoo.

I came to Poppycock Tattoo & Piercing today to get piercings from Allison with my mom and foster daughter (who’s 18), and we all got pierced by Allison. Allison was absolutely amazing, super sweet, kind, nonjudgmental, and VERY good at her job. I got a nostril piercing pair (one on each side), my mom got her 3rd lobe pierced on both sides, and my daughter got a nostril piercing, belly button piercing, and vertical labret. We were able to get an appointment same-day, but keep in mind to call ahead of time as they do piercings by appointment and do not always have same-day availability. Allison was very careful about marking the perfect spot beforehand (she even got out a tool to measure my mom’s lobe piercings to make sure they were perfectly even/symmetrical). She kept a very clean environment and made certain she changed her gloves often between doing different things to prevent any contamination of any kind. There was a good selection of jewelry we could get, and Allison was very helpful while we selected our jewelry and made sure to explain everything thoroughly. I felt the prices of the jewelry and the piercings themselves were very fair. I also really appreciated that the piercings were done in a separate room with a door, in case any privacy was wanted (I’ve been to shops before where the piercings were done out in the open with seemingly no option of privacy, so I really like when shops have that option just in case). All in all, we all had a very pleasant experience getting piercings at Poppycock and I absolutely will be returning for any future piercings & will be recommending going here to people I know!

Walked into Poppycock the beginning of the year trying to find a new artist and was greeted by Jeff Madonna. He was friendly and took the time to sit and chat with me on some new work I wanted and some old work I needed completed and touched up. Within two months I booked twice with him on the start of a new falcon sleeve, and just finished my second session exactly 1 month apart from my first session. His work is great, awesome to chat with, and the overall shop staff and environment is clean and well put together. They also make sure to provide proper pain management, and aftercare packets so you never have to worry about a thing. I can't wait to book my third session and fourth and fifth session! Thanks Jeff and Poppycock, highly recommend for the first timers and beyond.

Throughly impressed with every aspect of this shop! From my initial email inquiry, to scheduling, all the way through the final product. I could not have asked for a better experience! One of, if not the cleanest tattoo shop I've ever seen. The lobby is well decorated and offers tons of well priced swag (I had to get myself a T-Shirt)! Dave gave me exactly the tattoo my daughter wanted me to get for her! The price is more than fair for the experience level of the artists. I honestly can't say enough nice things to convey what a great experience I had!
