I am literally obsessed with my new tattoo, it’s so well done, far beyond anything I’ve gotten done before. So much artistic skill came into bringing this to life and I’m so happy I came here. Absolute masterpiece and watching it go from an idea to a realized project was amazing to watch. True artist. If you love great art, get your next tattoo with Clay.

As soon as I came in for my tattoo consultation with Clay a couple of months ago, I knew I was in great hands. He made me feel comfortable right away, his shop was super clean, his prices were extremely reasonable, and it was clear he was an expert at his craft. During the actual tattooing, Clay was great to chat with as he worked. And he routinely checked in to make sure I was tolerating the pain okay. Watching Clay bring my tattoo to life was a privilege—his talent is incredible. I am blown away at how well it came out, and I am so happy to have this work of art on me forever!

Mt. Vernon Body Art is a great place to get tattooed. The shop is conveniently located close to 83, extremely clean, and has a punk/neogoth/hip-hop/anarchist vibe. Real kitsch and artsy. Clay was a excellent artist to work with. He totally understood the concept I was going for and able to incorporate all three elements in my tattoo. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone that wants quality work.

If you are looking for a professional artist with great atmosphere. Come check out MT. Vernon Body Art. I came in with a idea for a Egyptian piece, and Clay put my ideas together better than expected. Will be back for more work. Clean environment, staff was the best, and made the experience easy and fun.

Awesome experience. Clean and friendly shop. I was told for years I couldn’t get a hoop for my nose ring because it was too far back. Long story short I let my hole close up or at least I thought I did. Not only did Matt get my hole open and avoided me the pain and cost of a new nose piercing but I got my hoop ring! He was so informative and accommodating. I would recommend this place for piercings!
