First time customer - I had a great experience. I came in looking for two simple tattoos and my artist Mike knocked it out of the park. I wanted a Lego man and an Orioles “O” and he made each of them fit the simple style I was looking for while adding details that made the tattoos come out better than I had imagined. He made me feel comfortable and listened to and had great conversation throughout the appointment. I brought my friend with me and he made him feel very comfortable and included as well. Very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions well. Also, if you get chilly in there, they have soft fuzzy blankets for you to use. Wonderful vibes. Absolutely recommend.

I have worked with Dominic three times now, and while I initially respected his technical execution, I’ve realized there is a massive divide between a "printer" and an artist. If you are looking for a unique, custom piece, look elsewhere. Despite providing a custom concept a full month in advance, I arrived at my appointment to find Dominic had prepared a "cookie-cutter" design. It was a streamlined, uninspired version of a concept he has clearly pulled from a drawer and tattooed on dozens of others. After checking his portfolio more closely, it’s clear his "original" work consists of repetitive Pinterest-style designs and borderline copyright infringement. Since getting this piece, I have seen over 20 people in the Baltimore area with the exact same tattoo—some of which were executed better than mine. When a client provides a vision and is willing to pay for custom work, laziness is unacceptable. Dominic chose the path of least resistance to secure quick money rather than putting in the effort to create something original. While the tattoo healed well and the lines are clean, the soul of the work is missing. It’s disheartening to pay for an "artist" only to receive a stencil that has been mass-produced. Dominic is a talented technician, but he lacks the imagination required for true custom tattooing. If you want to look like everyone else in the city, he’s your man. If you want a unique piece of art that reflects your personal vision, take your hard-earned money to someone who actually values creativity over convenience. - I'm still mad 9 months later.

I just had my first tattoo there and everything about the experience was amazing. The artist that did mine was Santana and she helped me make sure this was the tattoo of my dreams. I felt comfortable my entire time in the studio. When I want another tattoo, I'll be coming back here!

I’ve been going to Ripp’d Canvas for all my tattoo work for almost 3 years now. All the artists there are super talented, professional, and welcoming. The shop is always clean, and sanitary. Mike W. is the artist who I work with and he is amazing. We have a special relationship and I trust his artistic approach to bringing my ideas to life in such a magical way! Trust is so important when we are talking about body modifications that are permanent!! He never fails to absolutely exceed my expectations. Everyone I meet is always super impressed with the work and I recommend Ripp’d Canvas and Mike to everyone who asks!

I had such a great experience getting a tattoo done here and highly recommend! It was my first time at Ripp’d Canvas and the space is super welcoming from the time you first walk in. I had my session with Frankie and I would absolutely go back for another piece. He got things started right on time and was super professional and friendly throughout the whole process. His energy (along with the other artists that were there) was really genuine and made me feel immediately comfortable. I drove a little over an hour to get here and I’d absolutely do it again. He’s also insanely knowledgeable about anime so I was able to have a great conversation with him and leave with some good recommendations. Not to mention, the actual tattoo came out perfect and is exactly what I hoped for. All in all, I’d highly recommend coming here, especially coming to Frankie. I’ve already started recommending a few friends to his page and will definitely be coming back for another piece in the future.
