Brightside Tattoo Shop - Baltimore

Prefer to leave 0 stars but it is what it is. The owner/ artist over worked my skin, leaving large areas looking “chewed up” The owner, Kike destroyed my skin & after spending over $1000 with him completing only half my tattoo. - I asked if he could draw the rest of the tattoo and allow another artist to finish the piece so that I could avoid damaging the skin further/ distorting the tattoo. - his response was “the other artist should be good enough to do it” & that there’s nothing that he could or was willing to do. … Basically leaving me to figure it out. As a business owner myself, I don’t understand this kind of response and unwillingness to help in any capacity. I find it beyond unprofessional to operates in this fashion, especially when it comes to such a permanent situation. *Please Beware* Originally I was going for a cover up piece and now I have an even larger piece that is incomplete, disfigured & visibly scarred. Disappointed is an understatement.

I’ve followed Jeff for years, since he was closer to me in Annapolis. This is the second black & gray tattoo I’ve had him do, and will definitely be back for more. This new shop is very clean, professional, and bumps some awesome music. Go check out Jeff!

I was looking for a local place to do a tattoo touch up / redo and was recommend Brightside. When I walked in Kike was the one to greet me and ended up doing the tattoo later that week too. From start to finish, it was an amazing experience. I usually only go to lady tattoo artists because I’ve had enough bad experiences with the dudes, but I felt comfortable and heard throughout the entire process. And the tattoo came out perfect!

stopped in with my brother, who had an appointment, and as I waited for him and his piece to be finished, they got me right in as a walk-in after telling them I had something in mind. Jeff drew something up immediately, and from start to finish, he had me out and walked out the same time as my brother. He did exactly what I asked with the design and was easy to work with. The shop had a clean, open, and ironically bright vibe to it. The artists seem to be friendly. I love my design, and he did it in 20 minutes or less.

I have been coming to Kike for 10+ years for various tattoos. The shop environment is always clean and welcoming. The shop is easy to find and a parking garage is conveniently located around the corner. For the service and positive experiences within this shop, I’ll continue driving an hour for great tattoos and conversation :)
