Super accommodating and helpful staff. I’ve had numerous issues with factory new pressings of classic records (such as Aja by Steely Dan), and they have always been extremely concerned with making sure I get a record that plays smoothly. It got to the point where I bought 3 separate brand new copies of Aja and they all had the exact same issues with skipping and bad tracking. After the 3rd record, they let me trade in for a vintage copy that plays beautifully. They take this stuff seriously! Even though the current record pressing industry is often producing garbage vinyls meant to hang on a wall and never be played, stores like Kachunk give me hope that this hobby can still be worthwhile. I often make the trek from D.C. just to support this business because they are so good to me. Please consider doing the same!

Had so much fun at my first Record Store Day last weekend! Prior communication with the owner Matt made me hopeful that I would be able to get the Record Store Day exclusives that I was after... and I did, plus some non-exclusives they had in stock!! Great store. My new go-to record store 🤘🏻

Came here for record store day and loved it! Super organized process compared to some other stores I’ve been to. The owner is super responsive and willing to answer any questions, and posts his inventory list with prices on instagram a few days before. I got in line around 1:30a and was like 15th, and the line doubled by 4. People are generally chill if you need to step away, and the starbucks a few block away is a great option if you need a restroom.

Love this store. Great place for record hunting the 1-5$ bin if you’re looking for samples. Good food nearby and a cool trip for people trying to find a few records to vibe with for the evening.

Had a great time in a long line for Record Store Day. First time to an event like this and all of the gentlemen were pleasantly interactive. There's only one payment area which was a downside and parking is a challenge around The State's Capital per usual. They reserved 3 spots and I think that was a nice gesture. Thankfully it was a good weather day as the decent size shopping area would have been stuffy otherwise. PS - they have oodles of stickers, trinkets and other music oddities for sale as well as store related merchandise.
