I got my septum pierced here about a year ago, and unfortunately it was one of the worst piercing experiences I’ve had. Before the piercing was even done, when the piercer had the clamp on my nose, I told him the placement looked way too low. It was practically hanging out of my nose, and I asked if it was supposed to be higher. He told me I was wrong and that the placement was correct, so I trusted his professional opinion. The piercing itself was painful, and I bled quite a bit during the process. He also used very large jewelry and told me it needed to be that size in order to heal properly. Once the swelling went down, I also noticed the piercing was crooked. Over the next 3–4 months, it never seemed to heal properly and I constantly dealt with irritation bumps. Eventually, I removed it because the placement felt wrong, it was visibly crooked, and the healing issues weren’t improving. I recently had my septum repierced at another shop, and the difference was immediate. The new piercer placed it much higher, it barely bled, healed perfectly, and didn’t require oversized jewelry. The experience confirmed that my original concerns about the placement were valid. I paid around $50–$60 for the original piercing here. The repiercing at another shop cost me only $20 and was done significantly better. Overall, I was disappointed with the placement, the crooked result, the healing issues that followed, and the fact that my concerns were dismissed before the piercing was even done. I would not recommend this shop based on my experience.
