Invisibleself Body Art

This is a VERY long overdue review. And I only just realized I've never done one. (I'm so sorry fam!) At the time of this review, I've been going to Inbisibleself for about 8 or so years. I had found them by happy accident originally and even now that I've moved 2 and a half hours away, I STILL go. I legitimately will not let anyone else pierce or tattoo me. To let everyone here know, I've hung out at a lot of tattoo and piercing shops in my lifetime, all in different states. They all had a few things in common. Environment. You walk in, it's dark. All the windows are some sort of covered. The flash available is all the same stuff in the same style. The staff is always uppity and seem to think they're better than you as you're sitting in their chair and you feel squeamish about even asking a question for fear you'll be the joke of the shop for the next week or two. Not here. Inbisibleself has always been open, bright and inviting. The staff including the owner (Dom for those who are unaware), have always been sweet, kind and even fun to be around. If anyone is nervous getting a piercing or tattoo, maybe for the first time ever even, these guys are the place to go. You'll wind up feeling so comfortable within minutes of being around them and you won't even realize it happened. Dom has been in the business a VERY long time and it shows in his knowledge and how he handles things. Rebecca is my main artist and has been for many years but don't dare let that deter any of you from getting anything done by Alli also. Alli is also super talented and I literally just haven't gotten around to planning any of her flash pieces with her- but it will happen (I promise!!!) And you know what? That brings me to another thing about this shop is that the tattoo artists (Rebecca and Alli remember) SUPPORT one another rather than live that nonsensical competitive life. That's my story. Love you guys forever. That means you can literally get something done by everyone and anyone in this shop and they'll all be happy for each other to have that moment to hone in on their craft. Ultimately, this shop is the best I've ever had the pleasure of discovering. My 2 and a half hour trip to see them should speak volumes (I have A LOT of tattoos and even more planned. One in July actually!) and I scream their talent from the rooftops whenever someone asks where I got such and such done. I carry their business cards to hand out. I will continue to give these guys my business until the end of time and will defend their honor in any and every way, even if I have to fight a six foot four muscle man in the street.

I had a great experience at InvisibleSelf Body Art. The staff was very professional and made sure everything was sterile before doing the ear and nose piercing. They carefully measured the placement and gave me different options so I could choose what looked best. They explained the whole process before starting and also gave very clear aftercare instructions. I also appreciate that they scheduled a follow-up appointment to check if the piercing is healing well. Overall, I felt very safe and well taken care of. I highly recommend them. 😊

I discovered this shop a few years ago and it’s become one of my go-to spots for everything piercing-related. The owner, Dominick, is incredible at what he does. He’s knowledgeable, honest, and always takes the time to answer questions and make you feel comfortable. I’ve already recommended a few friends here and will definitely keep recommending them. The shop is clean, professional, and clearly prioritizes proper piercing and aftercare.

i kinda feel bad about leaving this review but felt it was necessary. came in a couple days ago to purchase a new curved barbell for one of my older piercings, this is not a story of a new piercing. i got a couple piercings here years back that healed well, the studio is really clean, everyone is really nice and the owner is really knowledgeable about piercings and jewelry and aftercare. but let me just say… this place is really expensive for jewelry. really expensive. i get that a lot of the jewelry is surgical steel and they sterilize and put it on for you, but i’ve been newly pierced with brand-new sterilized jewelry at other studios for the cost of the one piece of very basic jewelry i purchased here. they also did not tell me the cost of the jewelry until after they started sterilizing it and i might have said no if they did. you can safely purchase a lot of what they sell jewelry-wise at other shops and online like on etsy, even surgical steel, that is more cost-effective than this shop. i get that they have to make a living and i feel bad for saying all this but it is the truth and unfortunately will not be coming back and will be going to a more reasonably priced shop in the future.

I’ve been using Invisibleself in Lyndhurst for years now and have been tattooed by Rebecca several times. The shop is not only a fun atmosphere and clean, but very welcoming. Rebecca has always worked with me on design, placement, color, pricing, and scheduling. Every time I’ve gone in it was like visiting an old friend, catching up and getting work done. I never leave feeling disappointed or like I was intimidated into doing something I wasn’t happy with. I definitely recommend checking them out; they are worth it!
