Got a tattoo from Angie and I couldn’t be happier with it! Her creative mind really helped bring my idea together and figure out the final piece we settled on. She was so gentle and sweet throughout the first half of the tattoo, and we had such a fun conversation. She’s incredibly talented, and I can’t wait to finish what we’re working on and start on the next one!

Went with my mom and sister to get tattoos - and everybody here did a phenomenal job. Tiana, Kaya, and Vu all did excellent tattoos (as well as being fun people in general). Would highly recommend going here!

I wanted to get my first tattoo, so I came here years ago to see an artist whose work I was interested in. I wanted to start an arm sleeve and thought she would be the right artist for it. When I arrived for my consult, she stepped out from tattooing her current client to chat with me for a few minutes on my idea. She thought another artist might be a better fit, toting him as a guest artist with a lot of skill. I was given his Instagram by the receptionist and started looked through his work, while being told he was in high demand and a deposit would be needed today to secure a slot. I tried speaking with the artist, who did not speak English, so the receptionist helped to translate. He said he would be able to execute my idea, so I put a deposit down. When I came on the day, I still had not seen the sketch, but we reviewed 3 possible sleeve designs when I arrived. I had planned to just start with my forearm area, but he had sketches for the full arm, so that was a surprise but sketch #3 looked awesome so I pulled the trigger. I asked to remove the flower that was in the design, but the artist told me " no no, flower bloom" while motioning his elbow open and closed. Tried to communicate that I did not like flowers but he again said "no, we do small". Once he had some rough lines drawn out and he confirmed the flower would only be a small portion in my inner elbow, within a band section, I agreed. As he started tattooing, he almost immediately went beyond the band he had drawn, and starting drawing in extra petals freehand that had no origin point. It ended up from my bicep to my wrist, not at all what we discussed. This was my first tattoo. From there he started improvising, grabbing an optical illusion stencil he already had printed out from what I can only assume was an earlier tattoo and he put that on my forearm. This was not what was in the sketch we agreed on. From there when we actually got to filling in the black of the optical illusion (white, black white, black) he skipped a line by accident, disrupting the illusion and making it ineffective. The optical illusion I never wanted. The shop owner was brought in over it and they refused to admit the mistake was there, even when I held it next to the reference, until they finally agreed but stated "I mean... does it really matter?" By the end of months of tattooing, believing no artist would touch another's work, I finally left in tears when he started going over the only section of the tattoo I did like, in pure blackout. Saying "no straight, I fix with white". As in. He wanted to black it out to later redo the same design in white. That was my last straw. Years later and thousands of dollars down the drain, I have a full black out arm now and only bad memories of my first tattoo experience. The tattoo was riddled with unfinished lines, tangents that clashed, patterns that just suddently ended and technical mistakes. I dont believe the shop is bad, but my experience was terrible.

Matt was extremely kind, he explained step by step , he made sure that the tattoo we wanted was exactly what we wanted from the stencil to the placement. I couldn’t be happier how everything turned out. My daughter went with me to get her first tattoo as well and couldn’t been have more pleased with the outcome of it all. Would highly recommend Matt to everyone I know. Will be scheduling my next tattoo with Matt in the near future.
