I cannot recommend Darlene (and her great apprentice Mik!) highly enough. She is incredibly compassionate, caring, and a wonderful listener. From our very first consultation, she took the time to truly understand what I wanted and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. After my breast cancer journey and SMX surgery, I wanted a tattoo that would help me reclaim my body and reflect my Dutch heritage. Darlene worked with me to create a beautiful design featuring Delft Blue flowers, and the result exceeded all of my expectations. I am super happy with my tattoo. Not only is it a stunning piece of art, but it has also helped me feel whole and confident again. Darlene’s talent, empathy, and attention to detail made this experience incredibly meaningful. We had an impromptu tattoo making session and Mik did SUCH a great job. I was extremely happy with the work he did. He’s got a lot of creative ideas and was super kind and made sure I was comfortable. He also added a little shading of his own which added more essence to the design. Would highly recommend this place and will definitely come back here.

I wanted to get a celebration of life tattoo for my best friend who has ALS. Having not had a tattoo in almost 40 years, this seemed like a bold move. I looked at various reviews, Instagram, etc. Finally I came upon the Odyssey Wellness website. As a cancer survivor I was struck by Darlene's work. I knew she was the right person. I found some samples and she created this tattoo that is incredibly meaningful and fits my aesthetic. It was a great experience.

After breast cancer, I had some mastectomy scars that I wanted covered up, so I went to Darlene for my lotus tattoo. Her extensive experience with scars made her the obvious choice for my first-ever piece! Aside from her effortlessly chill vibe, Darlene is a professional who is thoughtful about placement, artistic detail, and ensuring comfort. Odyssey has delicious lollipops. I'll be back soon!
