I’ve been a client since 2018, and I can’t say enough good things about Merk Ink. Every artist specializes in their own style, and they’re all highly knowledgeable, talented, and trained. I’ve personally had two sleeves beautifully completed by Ronnie, the owner, and the quality of the work is unbelievable. I’m currently working on my next piece and couldn’t be happier with the results so far. If you’re thinking about getting your first tattoo, take your time, do your homework, and stop by the shop. The photos of their work speak for themselves, but seeing it in person is even more impressive. One thing that really stands out is how clean the shop is. Someone there definitely has an obsession with cleaning because the place is absolutely immaculate at all times. Honestly, it’s cleaner than most doctor’s offices, and for a tattoo studio, that’s exactly what you want. The atmosphere is welcoming, the artists are professional, and the artwork is second to none. Thanks again, Merk Ink. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my tattoos.

Everyone on the staff is friendly, welcoming, and genuinely cares about making sure you have a great experience from start to finish. Most importantly, the quality of their work is outstanding. The artists are talented, detail-oriented, and take pride in what they do. Whether it’s your first tattoo or your tenth, you can tell they truly care about giving you the best possible result. Had so much fun getting my tattoo! I had some fun and interesting conversations with the people in the shop, and it was a great experience overall. Christian did such a good job and got it done fast—his hand was very light, and I’m definitely grateful for that, lol. I will absolutely be coming back in the future for more!

I will say up front staff was very helpful and extremely kind. This is one of the cleanest tattoo shops I’ve been in. I’ve been tattooed in Washington State, Sacramento California and also Oregon State. Now I can add Salem Massachusetts to the list. Our tattoo artist did a good job. I will say they start off at $150.00 as their low no matter the size even if you wanted a smaller tattoo it starts at $150.00. I was not the only one surprised at their prices. I honestly expected my tattoo to cost $150.00 as it took maybe 20 minutes and no extra detail or color was added. I paid $300.00 for my broom tattoo. Expensive and pricey but I did pay for a tattoo in Salem Massachusetts and on Essex Street. I will cherish my tattoo for sure as it marks wonderful memories and a matching tattoo with my sister. Expect to pay $$$$. I did notice while I was here in Salem that even the Witches tattoo shop started at $150.00 as their base. We came here instead because it was much cleaner. I added color to my tattoo with skin ink pens as it is WAY cheaper. But in the end it’s all about the tattoo from Salem Massachusetts. I give Merk Ink Tattoo Studio a 5 ⭐️ for cleanliness and 3 ⭐️ on their pricing for their base rate at $150.00. Overall and in the end I’m thankful I ended up getting my tattoo.

I got my very first tattoo here. Me and my best friend ended up getting matching flash tattoos. Reggie was our artist, he was absolutely wonderful. Had us both done and out the door in less than an hour. He informed us that he has only been working in Salem for two months, so please show him some love and go get a tattoo from him.
