Got a tattoo done by Mario when I was in town. My bestie and I came from Wisconsin for a concert and wanted to get matching tattoos. Mario answered the phone right away and fit us in before his appointments since we were on out way out of town. He gave us the best pricing by far (I called over 15 shops in the days leading up to our Chicago trip). His shop was dope, he was super easy to work with. Mario had great energy and didn't give off the typical "too cool" tattoo artist vibe. We felt welcome and safe at his shop. He had the sweetest dog Taz that came up to us for some pets and then snoozed the rest of the time. I would absolutely drive the couple hours to get a larger tattoo from him.

I have known Mario for over 20 years now. I was a tattoo virgin and wanted to make sure I got my first tat from someone I trusted. We used to do Glam Live Events in Chicago Nightclubs together when I first entered into the photography business. He always impressed me with his freehand feel your vibe and draw you method. From talks of the Chicago Legend Dave Medusa(look him up if you don't already know) to thoughts of doing things in your youth to get them out of the way and into the past while you are still naive, Mario Ink made me feel SO comfortable and listened to exactly what I wanted. I could not be happier with the results. He is a true professional all around.

I’ve been to Mario 3 times, as I have been having him finish my tattoo sleeve! His studio is clean, calm environment and he does great work at exceptional rates. He is the only artist that I go to now, I highly recommend him!

Ready to embrace the Fire Horse. So naturally, felt like it was the perfect day to get my first tattoo at the age of 50. I brought in a simple design, had no idea what I was asking for, and Mario took the time to talk through my ideas, placement and small details without rushing anything. He was incredibly patient and professional. His studio is very chill, clean and a very welcoming environment. His dog is also super rad! I know everyone has a different pain tolerance. I got my tattoo in a place where I would read it would hurt and I was pleasantly surprised. Maybe it was Mario, maybe I was just relaxed, but I couldn’t have asked for a better outcome. I had a fantastic first experience. I would definitely go back for another. Already thinking about it. 🤘🔥🐎

Sooo, I had such a great experience at MarioInk yesterday. I called while I was about 11 or so minutes away…(not sure if it was the best time), but Mario answered right away and welcomed me in with no hesitation. I sent over a pic of the tattoo I wanted, and to my surprise he was able to fit me in same day. (Walk-in’s welcome) 🥹! From start to finish the energy was calm, focused, professional, and intentional. Mario is truly a meticulous artist. He really took his time and made sure everything was clean, precise, and aligned. The final piece turned out even better than I expected. I showed up with a piece conjured up and he brought it to life!! You can tell he genuinely cares not just about the tattoo, but about the person getting it. That kind of attention is RARE and means so much. I’ve been searching around, but my heart was never set on where to go. I’m so glad I found him when I did. You’re not just getting a tattoo here…you’re getting a sacred experience with someone who puts his heart into his craft. Finding MarioInk felt like divine timing ✨ If you’re “thinking” about booking, DON’T THINK…Be like Nike, and just do it. You won’t regret it.
