Barak Studios: Custom Tattoos and Atelier

I had a great experience with Louis at Barak Studios! I emailed him about some Hebrew lettering and he was able to do everything that I wanted to do in one session. He did both print and cursive and helped find the perfect placements for all 3 tattoos. One was a bit more challenging to figure out how it would move with my body and not be upside down and he gave me his honest and professional opinion and I love it! He was great to talk to and made me very comfortable even adjusting the AC in the studio so I didn’t freeze

I had a wonderful tattoo experience with Louis! First and foremost, he’s an amazing artist. His pieces that fill the studio are striking, moving, and unique. The creativity in the room is palpable. I really liked that it was his own space. It creates a very private, personal vibe. I couldn’t be happier with how the tattoo turned out. It’s a masterpiece. The idea I came to him with is based on an abstract oil painting by Richard M. Powers. There’s an insane amount of detail and color in it, and Louis handled it no problem. He kept the core of the idea, while infusing his own style and the outcome was better than I could have hoped for. He genuinely seemed to have fun doing it. Louis himself is an absolute sweetheart. He was courteous and welcoming. My comfort was a priority for him. The vibe was the perfect combination of laid back and professional. He keeps a very clean workspace and the chair was comfortable. I found it very easy to talk to him and actually learned a lot about history and culture during our many hours together. 10/10 would recommend! This was my first tattoo and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Louis was super clear about the entire process and patiently answered all of my (many) questions. He really understood what I was looking for in my design, and his excitement and passion came through in every step. I felt completely comfortable the whole time, he was easy to talk to and made the whole thing feel like catching up with an old friend.

This was my first tattoo, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Louis explained the entire process clearly and was super receptive to all my questions. His skill with color is amazing, and he’s also incredibly easy and fun to talk to. Highly recommend!

Louis is such an amazing artist, tattooist, and person. So welcoming and knowledgeable. I made the drive from Fort Wayne IN to see him and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Truly and highly recommend.
