If ink is on your to-do list while in Chicago, Rocket Tattoo is the spot. On impulse a friend and I walked in with a rough idea and the hope that we didn’t need an appointment as I was flying out the following day. The vibes were good before we sat down. Nice Guy Eddy welcomed us in and helped us to fine-tune what we had in mind. We weren’t there for anything complicated, but his input was intuitive and the results were on point. He brings easy dialogue, both professionally and personally. A bonus: he’s also funny as hell. Additionally, 10/10 for cleanliness and playlist. Whether you’re local or just in town for the weekend, the answer is yes, get the tattoo. And yes, get it here.

Out of my (now) 16 tattoos, Rocket Tattoo has stood out as the best experience I’ve had thus far!! Mikey did a fantastic job with my bird today. The owner, Eddy, is also very knowledgeable. Would recommend here esp if you’re looking to get your first tattoo. Will be a repeat customer along with my best friend for sure!

Love my fun, classic and flirty tattoo. I requested a pin-up style merman/sailor with some chosen elements (anchors Ahoy!) and am very happy with the result. It’s both modern and nostalgic and hit all the right buttons for what I was looking for. Nice guy Eddy worked with me on the design and I think we were both happy with the result. He is both LGBTQ and straight friendly and very open to my gayer requests and accommodated me very quickly. The shop has a lot of fun choices to look through and I was well taken care of.
