I've been getting tattooed at Lakewood Electric Tattoo for years now, and there's nowhere else I'd go. All of my tattoos have come from just two artists - and both of them call LE home. Chuck Uhler is the owner and one of the most versatile tattoo artists around. He can make almost any style work, and his range shows in every piece he produces. Lauren Vandevier brings a completely different energy to the table. Her style is distinct and signature - blending traditional, blackwork, fine line, and ornamental work in a way that's entirely her own. I love every piece I've gotten from her. Beyond the two of them, the whole shop has a welcoming, professional vibe. The atmosphere is comfortable without feeling stuffy, which makes the whole experience a lot more enjoyable - especially if it's your first time or you're a little nervous. Everyone there is friendly and easy to talk to. Lakewood Electric Tattoo has been the first and only tattoo shop in Lakewood since opening in 2018 on Madison Avenue, and they've built an incredibly loyal following for a reason. That’s exactly what I found at Lakewood Electric Tattoo. Big Miles has been tattooing me for over three years, and there’s a reason I keep coming back. The quality of the shop, the atmosphere, and the artwork are all top notch. He’s incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, creative, and easy to collaborate with. We’ve been able to create some really unique custom pieces together over the years. The entire shop has a cool, authentic vibe that makes you feel comfortable the moment you walk in. I will never ever go anywhere else since I started coming here!! All of the artists here are incredible, both in their talent and their genuine kindness. I've been seeing Miles specifically for several years now, and I cannot be more grateful for him! I get stopped all the time with compliments (from people of all ages!) admiring Miles's work. "Don't be sad go get a tattoo" This place is absolutely amazing, I stopped in on Wednesday to set up an appointment for Thursday. The front desk staff was so sweet and easily helped me get in on my one off day. I was placed with the super talented Brian Anthony for my tattoo. I went in to get writing on my thighs in Old English font. I showed him my reference photo and within a few minutes he came back with the perfect font, and we were off. He took his time and carefully made sure the writing was even since the writing is split over both of my legs. After a couple of reajuste he sat me down and started. Brian was so nice and he worked super quickly, he made me feel very comfortable and we shared several laughs throughout the process which is always a plus. This was a breakup tattoo for myself and I couldn't be happier with it. I talked with him about my other leg tattoos, because I know I'll be in such good hands and the product will be amazing. If you're thinking of going here please do, every staff member I met with was so sweet and you can tell they all love their jobs. It's such a comfortable place that I easily recommend!

Love this tattoo shop!! Every tattooer here is friendly and talented! It’s always sparking clean and has a truly welcoming atmosphere. Good music generally also. I usually get tattooed by Lauren or Liz! Plan ahead because they book up! Five-star shop in every way! Hot tip: Stop into the Elmwood bakery (which is just next door) to grab a mixed bag of sugar cookies on your way in to get tattooed. Gotta keep that blood sugar up. ☺️☺️
