Absolutely an amazing place, Jon and Amy are awesome and Jon is one hell of an artist! They did an event at a Brewers game where they were doing free small brewer tattoos and there were a few people that missed out on it because of time and Jon and Amy reached out and wanted to still give out a brewers tattoo! So damn cool of them and they definitely gained a customer out of me now for how cool they were! Definitely check them out for your next tattoo!!

I researched to find an artist who was good at fine line tattoos to add birth dates to the tattoos I already have and to create a fan tattoo (with some dimension) on my shoulder I found Jon J, the owner of Inkwell Tattoo in West Allis. For the consultation, I came prepared with various numeral fonts and fan tattoos that I liked. I felt comfortable with our discussion, with him, and with the environment, so I made the appointments. He is quite busy, so I had to wait 3 months for my appointments (1 for the fan, 1 for the 3 birth dates). At my appointments, Jon came up with the templates, and they were beautiful! Cost for all work is noted below. I am very happy with his work and will use him again. It was worth the wait!

Jon and the staff at Inkwell are absolutely amazing! The shop is spotless. Jon is an Incredible artist, he was professional, highly skilled, and made me feel completely at ease for this, my first tattoo. The custom design exceeded my expectations, the line work is flawlessly sharp and the shading is superb. Safe, clean, and amazing talent—I will definitely be back!

Within the first five minutes of meeting Bailey, I knew I wanted her to finish my sleeve. She was professional, vulnerable, and her passion for the tattoo industry was practically bursting through her pores. It was palpable and so, so inspiring. It was immediately clear this was so much more than a job to her, and I knew she was the right set of hands to help me celebrate how much I’ve grown over these past three years. With my sleeve now finished, it’s hard to put into words just how meaningful my time at Inkwell was. Over the hum of ink being pressed into my skin, we not only had some incredible conversations (shoutout to Courtney, too!), but I also shared some pretty big life moments sitting in that comfy freaking chair. Those are moments I won’t forget, and I’m so honored to carry Bailey’s art with me as a reminder of my commitment to sobriety, growth, and forever learning. Thank you to Jon and Amy for having the vision to create such a welcoming space, and to the entire team for the care and intention you bring to it every day. You’ve created something truly special and continue to raise the bar for what the tattoo experience can be. And because apparently all of that wasn’t enough, did I mention the private rooms and flat-screen TVs?! 😂 The entire experience just feels thoughtful from beginning to end. The shop is clean, the staff is personable and fun, the artists are amazing! I couldn't be happier with the tattoo Courtney gave me today. Their art is worth every penny! Highly recommend for your next tattoo.
