It was unfortunate that I paid $30 less for a tattoo that was very simple and pretty small. My flexibility for pricing was taken advantage of and I wish I would’ve bargained the price more because it wasn’t worth the expense. It’s nicely done though. I hope they start charging fair prices because $220 for a line of bar wire is absolutely insane, I now wonder what they would’ve charged if i had got a forearm of bar wire. They also give extreme amounts of stickers which is overwhelming and unnecessary for my second time being there. I ONLY recommend this place to people who are okay with being overcharged. Also time management and communication was below average. I shouldn’t have to convince employees to provide excellent, sadly I wish I tipped nothing because it was already overpriced but you live and you learn. The receptionist wasn’t very skilled at getting the right length for the tattoo which should’ve been done by the time I got back which was an hours worth of time to be prepared for my arrival. I love both of my tattoos from here. The butterfly/skull tattoo was $250. Does anyone think that I was overcharged?

Terrible experience for something I had been looking forward to for a long time. I wish I could give 0 stars. I scheduled a walk-in appointment and provided detailed references and explanations ahead of time so the artist would have everything needed to prepare at least a rough sketch. When I arrived, there seemed to be significant miscommunication between the receptionist and artist about what I was actually getting. From the beginning, I felt uncomfortable. The artist appeared frustrated, and unfortunately that frustration felt directed at me. Looking back, I wish I had trusted my instincts and walked away. I was only shown a basic outline with no visual representation of the details we had discussed, despite the many references I provided. I spent a considerable amount of time explaining exactly what I was looking for and believed we were on the same page. Instead, I ended up with something completely different from the references and descriptions I provided. What was supposed to be a delicate, detailed design became a dark, heavy piece that does not reflect what I asked for. What bothers me most is that I repeatedly tried to communicate throughout the process. Right before we started, I asked multiple times if they wanted me to keep the references out for review and continued confirming that we were aligned on the design. Despite those efforts, the final result was the opposite of what had been discussed. I understand that tattoos are collaborative and that clients have a responsibility to speak up. However, no client should feel so uncomfortable that they’re afraid to ask questions, request clarification, or make changes before something permanent is put on their body. Now I’m left with a tattoo I don’t love and the expense, time, and emotional energy of figuring out how to live with it, cover it, or potentially have it reworked. That’s a disappointing outcome for an experience that should have been exciting.

Went in to get a couple flash tattoos as a spontaneous birthday gift to myself. I had diner reservations for my birthday at 6pm so I came in at 3pm to get some flashes that weren't more than 30 minutes a piece. I picked out three flash pieces that I didnt think in total would be more than 1.5 hours under the needle. I offered $300 assuming a generous $200/hr. The front desk person informed me that the tattoos i picked had a lot of detail and they would want a total of $400. I told them it didnt seem correct, but it was my birthday and I was in a rush so I wasn't going to say no. Threw me off because they weren't detailed, but I am not going to argue with a tattoo artist either. started the tattoo at 3:45pm and ended the tattoo at 4:45pm (proving they werent detailed and only took an hour) and they still charged me $400. Practically $400/hr, when I am use to the standard $100-200 depending on quality. Felt like an Anti-birthday gift if anything. I give them two stars because they do good charity events, the art/tattoo work is great, my tattoo artist (Chris) was a great conversationalist, they gave me two free redbulls, and a free T-shirt that was pretty sick. Definitly did that because they felt bad for robbing me lol.

I was @ Wooden Ship Brewery on Saturday, 10 May for their anniversary block party and Nokomis was there with some Flash Tattoo options. I opted for the sun on water. Chris was super friendly and chatted w me as I get chatty when I'm a little out of comfort zone... and as we talked I realized It's been since 2004 that I had a tattoo. I appreciated that he put the outline of the tattoo on my arm and then confirmed that's where I would want it? Unfortunately it was not... just a bit to the left and a bit up, easy enough. I didn't check the time but it sure didn't feel like it took him long at all. The whole process was smooth, not really painful and his table was really comfortable. When the tattoo was done I was told how long to keep my bandage on, given ointment, care instructions, a sticker and told what to put on the tattoo. Thanks Chris for your professional and great service!! I will definitely have to stop in to the shop to browse your other options and see some of your work and get another tattoo! Unfortunately I was too caught up on the goings on @ the brewery that I didn't browse the several shirt options brought w for purchase. I will definitely take a look at the shop. Chris had on a great one...that at first glance I thought was TImberwolves.....haha
