Big Bear Tattoo

Wife and I got this matching tattoo for our anniversary two years back. Forgot to leave a review but here goes. This tiny half heart wave looks like crap and we were each charged $200 for it. I am embarassed to show people it when my wife asks. Literally looks like something a middle schooler would give themselves at home and I would be ashamed of this work if I owned the place. Planning to get a corrective tattoo done elsewhere.

Ryan Helmering was referred to me by a friend so I could get an old tattoo updated, and I’m so glad I went to him! From my initial consultation to my appointment on 1/7/2026, everything was handled quickly and professionally. The shop is welcoming, Ryan is a true professional artist, and I absolutely love my updated tattoo. I highly recommend him for both reworked pieces and new tattoos!

I love big bear. The staff is so friendly and so nice and the shop is super clean. If you’re going to go, ask for Jake, because he is the best. He’s done 3 bigger pieces on me and they look amazing, they heal amazing, and he’s just so good. His fine line stuff is beautiful and so are his bolder designs. If you tell him an idea you have, he works with you to create exactly what you’re looking for. Every visit is just a great experience and I can’t say enough good things about Big Bear or Jake. 100/10 will absolutely go get tattooed there again.

AMAZING!! Let me start by saying I’ve wanted to get a tattoo from BigBear for years. I finally pulled the trigger — and here’s my experience: The shop was incredibly clean, and the overall aesthetic was both comfortable and super cool. Everyone had their own personal touches at their stations, which made it feel really welcoming. And let me tell you, everyone — from the staff to the other customers — was so sweet and made me feel right at home! From booking a consultation to getting one of my tattoos retouched, and finally getting some new ink — the entire process was a BREEZE! As someone who works your typical Monday–Friday, 8–5 schedule, it can be tough to make appointments. But everyone — from Kelly (who helped with scheduling) to Wolfman (who did my artwork) — was so flexible, and I seriously can’t thank them enough. Now, onto the actual piece… Wolfman is OUTSTANDING. He’s kind, understanding, funny, and really listens to your wants, needs, and concerns. He was genuinely excited to do this piece — which is always awesome, to have the artist just as excited as you are. And let me just say — he did a phenomenal job. I’m constantly getting compliments! His attention to detail is incredible, and he has such a gentle touch. I can’t even begin to express how grateful I am for the way he captured my sweet boys. Thank you all so much — I’ll definitely be returning! 😂

Wolfman is an amazing artist. Design and consultation was easy. Session went smoothly taking his time to get all the details. Assisted with care after completion. Looking forward to finding another design for the other arm.
