If you’re looking for fine line tattoos with attention to very minor details, most definitely give this place a visit! Li was an incredible artist and she took 4 hours to finish this and did not say a single word the entire time. She was absolutely locked in and killed it! Most definitely coming back here for my full arm sleeve that starts with this one!

My girlfriends and I decided on a whim that we wanted to get tattoos while one of our friends was in town, so we started searching for a reputable shop in the Charlotte area that accepted walk-ins. I called Big Top Tattoo, and the owner immediately put us at ease with a friendly, enthusiastic, “Come on in, we’re ready for you!” Thirty minutes later, we walked into the studio and instantly knew we had made the right choice. The vibe was incredible. The decor was unique, the energy was fun and welcoming, and the open loft-style space gave us a chance to see talented artists creating amazing work all around us. Tat2 Slim made the entire process seamless. He took the time to understand what each of us wanted and matched us with artists whose styles fit our tattoo ideas perfectly. I was especially excited to have my tattoo done by the owner himself! Every one of us left thrilled with both the artwork and the overall experience. From the moment we called to the moment we walked out, the team made us feel welcome and taken care of. We can’t wait to come back for our next tattoos. Highly recommend Big Top Tattoo!

Kay did my paw print tattoo for my passed kitty. It was my first tattoo with her and she absolutely exceeded my expectations! She was very knowledgeable, informative and beyond kind and skilled! I would absolutely recommend this tattoo shop, and of course Kay, for your tattoo needs! I will definitely be going back for more.

I’ve been wanting to get a tattoo for a while but I had only concepts of tattoo ideas. Slim and Maria both sat down with me to create the perfect piece. They had no problem with all of my questions and were just as happy and excited to make the peace I truly love as I was. I will back here before I ever even consider another shop! You will walk in smiling and walk out laughing and in love with what you received. 1st session done!! :)

This was my first time at big top and with my artist, Kay. I couldn’t have asked for a better first experience with them. Kay spent time making sure all the stencils were straight and lined up properly. She made me feel comfortable in the placement and encouraged me to tell her if I wanted to make any changes. The shop was clean, the atmosphere was fun, and all the other artists were so friendly. Kay did beautiful work and the conversation was great. I drove an hour and a half for my appointment and I’d definitely go back. 10/10
