I got my first tattoo with Wayne and he did a phenomenal job! I will definitely be coming back in the future!

I had my nose pierced at the Noda location 6 years ago, and have now gotten my last 4 tattoos with Wayne at the Villa Heights shop. It's a 10/10 experience every time. They are professional and nice, the shops are clean, and you feel comfortable while there. Would highly recommend this shop (either location) to anyone looking for a piercing or tattoo.

I got tattooed by Wayne and I can't say enough good things about my experience here. I researched many reputable tattoo places in Charlotte, and I'm so glad I chose to with 501 Expert Tattoo. The space is lovely — bright, inviting, and of course clean. The vibe is low-key, authentic, and comfortable. You're in the presence of excellent tattooers without ego who do great work and aren't bs-ing you. It was also super affordable compared to other places I looked. I felt heard throughout the process and it was all so smooth, comfortable, and fun. I have found my go-to spot in Charlotte and will definitely be coming back for more!

Absolutely loves this place. My tatoo came out amazing. WAYNE did an amazing job. Definetly looking to go back and have him do another one. I looked for a good tatoo artist who could do water colors on a tattoo for the longest time with a good name, but not so blunt like. I found him. Absolutely love it. DEFINETLY would recommend this place. If I'm back out in NC I am definitely going to go back to Wayne and have him do another or possibly see if he can do something with the ones I have. Absolutely amazing artist. Also the secretary who also does piercing, Krystal, amazing sweetheart. She helped me get it all done and was so informative and getting me in before I had to leave back to my own state.
