I came to Dogstar Tattoo and had a great experience here for my first tattoo. The manager Zee was very welcoming and checked me in promptly and was also assisted by Lizzie before I met my tattoo artist Zach. Zach was very thorough and made sure all my questions were answered and the service from Zee, Lizzie and Zach and the whole team at Dogstar was amazing. Definitely recommend them for all your tattoo and piercing needs. Will definitely be back

Honestly pretty terrible experience. I booked an industrial piercing with Sam on Feb 23rd. After learning I don't have the anatomy for this piercing, I opted for a conch piercing and a vertical helix instead. I was under the assumption that the vertical helix, being quite a commonly seen piercing, would be done professionally. Instead, it developed a piercing bump that refused to go away. I strictly followed all aftercare instructions provided by the piercer. I ended up consulting a piercer I trusted with more intricate piercings, such as my nipples, and got told that the vertical helix was done against my ear anatomy and rather pointed straight down. That was the reason why I spent all of March, April, May, and June, fighting that piercing bump when it would've never healed properly in the first place. I ended up needing to take the jewelry out and losing more than a hundred dollars on this experience. Ultimately, I wish the piercer was honest in their lack of knowledge and experience with this specific piercing.

Went in hoping for a simple jewelry change for my tragus piercing that was originally done at this shop, which I paid over $100 for two years ago. Instead, I was met with attitude and told the piercer wouldn’t change my jewelry because it was from Hot Topic, even though the piercing is fully healed and I have over 15 piercings with no issues from that brand. My only option was to buy their in-store jewelry starting at $50 or leave with nothing in my piercing—no taper or attempt to help. I’ve also noticed the shop constantly has traveling piercers instead of the one I booked with. I ended up leaving with nothing in my tragus and am now struggling to reinsert the jewelry on my own. both of my tragus experiences felt less about piercing integrity and more about pushing commission on overpriced jewelry. Also, the switching of piercers that was not disclosed better in locked my distaste for the shop. They don’t care about your body!

Best tattoo experience I’ve had ever! This is not your dad’s biker tattoo parlor. It is clean, open, inviting and, as a woman, I felt very comfortable in the environment - you know what I mean, ladies! From start to finish, everyone was friendly and professional, but you could tell by the way they interacted with the customers and each other, that they love their jobs. Shout out to my artist, Hayden!! She spent all the time that was needed going over my vision, combining different elements together and then putting her own unique spin on the art. She made sure we were on the same page before beginning. It never felt rushed and she was such a pleasure to speak with during the process. The time flew by and before I knew it, I had 2 gorgeous tattoos that I will treasure. Thank you, Hayden and the rest of the team!!!

Originally came for a belly button piercing but ended up getting my nipples pierced instead. The workers here all made me feel so safe and welcomed, and were very supportive even when I felt super nervous about my piercing. Emity is amazing. She let me take time to calm myself down, was very diligent on cleaning and sterilizing her space, and walked me through every step of the piercing. I felt very calm in her presence and she is killer at her job. I don’t think I’ve ever had a piercing experience that has made me feel so at ease. Could not recommend this place and Emity’s services more— I am so pleased with my piercing!!
