Idle Hands Tattoo Parlour

July 2025: Being born/raised in TX but have my family's roots in NOLA I wanted a tattoo to represent the 2 states together without just having just having the state outlines. I worked with Flex and he designed my idea perfectly. He was even able to get some fine detailing in, even though the size was a bit small. ( I only like "trinket" tattoos ) Regardless, Flex nailed it and I will absolutely will return for more work with him. August 2026: Came back to see Flex for a cover up touch up. This was not a tattoo that he had done previously, but knew he could bring it back to life. Of course, he did not disappoint! It turned out better than I had envisioned and looks like fresh ink. Now to decide what's next...

Went to get a simple tattoo and was scheduled with Chloe. She was super kind and gave us ideas on things to do in New Orleans since we don’t live locally. She made genuine conversation with me and made sure I had a grasp of aftercare instructions. She was very kind and knowledgeable and I’d schedule with her again hands down.

I had Flex as my artist. I live out of state and found him while doing a web search. He was extremely responsive and knew exactly what I wanted. He made me feel so comfortable the entire time, since tattooing in a more intimate area. He was 1/3 of the price as many other well-known shops right in the French Quarter. I intend to visit him again in the future! The shop was clean 👌 *P.S. this was my least painful tattoo ;)

I had such an amazing experience at Idle Hands, and I can’t recommend them enough.. especially Chloe! Chloe was absolutely incredible from start to finish. She made me feel so welcome right away, and her talent really speaks for itself. The quality of her work is unreal, honestly, the pricing feels more than fair for what you get… maybe even underpriced 😬 (I happily tipped over 20% because she deserved it!). Not only is she an amazing artist, but she also gave me really helpful advice about another tattoo I have that needs fixing, which I truly appreciated. You can tell she cares about her clients and the work she puts out. I seriously can’t say enough good things. If you’re thinking about getting tattooed, go see Chloe, you won’t regret it!

We had a group of 6 coming into NOLA from a cruise and wanted to get a group tattoo. I reached out to Flex about a month prior and set up an appointment and he made sure to have 3 artists in that day so we wouldn't tie up our whole day. We ended up by the shop about an hour early and they got us started right away. They had a great stencil made based on some reference art I had sent. They had the 6 of us in and out in about an hour and half. All 3 artists were nice, professional and gave us exactly what we wanted. The shop is located at one end of Magazine St which is a fun district of shops and restaurants outside the French Quarter and is worth checking out on its own.
