Atra Capra has the most wonderful balance of artistic talent, true walk-in availability/flexibility, and easy-to-talk-to creators. ☺️❤️ Thankful to have them in the Woodlawn community! I ran into a sticky situation where the artist from another studio who was set to create my first tattoo just before my birthday had to cancel after having scheduled the appointment more than a month in advance. Bummer. 😔 I called Atra Capra the same day I found out, and Devin was willing to meet with me for a consultation a few hours later that afternoon. ☺️ She and Nails took the time to thoughtfully consult with me on my admittedly conceptually odd tattoo idea, and Devin was so flexible in meeting with me the very next day to create my tattoo. Devin was incredibly calm, respectful, conversational, and was willing to let me have my spouse or one of my best friends come back to sit with us while she created the tattoo. ☺️ Devin was also really efficient yet thoughtful in her creation of the tattoo, and it felt like a true collaboration between the two of us in making this idea a tangible piece of art. I will definitely be back when the tattoo bug bites again! 😉 Many thanks to Devin, Nails, and the rest of the studio for accommodating me and making my birthday tattoo a reality! ❤️

I adore the people here. I’ve been getting tattooed by Mychaela for almost 7 years. She has been in a few shops, but this is the best shop she’s ever been at!! All the artists are so funny and talented. They all understand how permanent a tattoo is, so they never pressure you into getting a design you aren’t happy with. They take the time to inform you what would look best & what would be realistic to accomplish. They all do it in such a way that doesn’t make you feel belittled and it feels like a collaborative effort. I have a hard time deciding who I should get a tattoo from next! I tell all my friends about them and I’ve gotten so many compliments on vibrancy of their work! I recommend following everyone on Instagram so you’re able to see their flashes!! Featured are only a few of my tattoos I have from some of the ladies there (Sharon, Mychaela, & Lana). If I’m counting correctly I’ve gotten 11 tattoos within the last two years from them. Loveeeeeee Atra Capra!!

Drew absolutely killed my thigh cover up! So so thrilled with the results. I sat for almost 8 hours, so I got to see a lot of the other artists work as well. And they are so talented too!! Go see Drew!!!!

Nice tattoo parlor. Cash only. They can do generic and design specific. Friendly personnel with great personalities. I didn’t get a tattoo this trip but my daughter did. Would return when I am in town and get a tattoo here.
