Lucky 13 Tattoos & Piercing – Richmond, VA

The people were cool. My artist Ethan was a bit meh. Cool person but the tattoo was moderately simple, a wrap around flower( I will post what I wanted, and what he did). In the reference photo it was supposed to be spread out which I wanted it to be for a reason. He made everything smaller and simpler than the photo and too close to my wrist. Then, when I asked if he didn’t mind making another wrap around of flowers he got visibly annoyed and said “I did it how the photo is another flower wrap isn’t going to cover your scars.” So I suggested adding crosses which he eventually agreed with. I do not believe it was worth $240. I wanted Jay who I initially did my consultation with and was comfortable with but I guess Ethan was next in line for someone. He also took three smoke breaks for a tattoo that took an 1hr and 15 at best(including just drawing it as well), it was fine bc I just got a snack but it was a bit annoying waiting for him to come back but I did not want to be rude. Again I hate writing negatives reviews but if I wanted what I wanted and was willing to pay, it shouldn’t have been a prblm.

Went for an apprentice tattoo from Brat. She did such an amazing job!!!! I am so grateful I went and honestly this tattoo is my new favorite and such a sentimental piece of art. It will forever be cherished. She will be a great artist for anyone to see there. She is a great addition to the Lucky 13 family!!! Thank you so much for the wonderful experience here and I can't wait to come back for more work as soon as I can.

Went to Lucky 13 for a surface tragus and had a really good experience. The piercer was chill, explained everything without making it overly complicated, and took time making sure the placement looked right before doing anything. They used surgical steel staple bars and the whole process felt clean and professional. I was honestly nervous because surface piercings can be kinda tricky, but they made it super easy and comfortable. Healing has been going well and they gave solid aftercare advice without sounding rehearsed or pushy. Definitely recommend the piercing side of Lucky 13 if you want people who actually know what they’re doing.

I had been here a couple times before, but I definitely wanted to highlight Kelsey! I can’t recommend this artist enough. Not only is the quality of the work incredible, clean lines, great detail, and exactly what I had in mind, but the dedication really stood out. She stayed well past closing time just to make sure my tattoo was finished and done right, never rushing the process. You can tell she genuinely cares about her craft and her clients. Super professional, talented, and committed. I’ll definitely be coming back. Thanks again Kelsey!

I’ve came here for tattoos and piercings now for a few years and everyone has always done great. I came in last night to get an eyebrow piercing, which I was really nervous about, but Ashley was amazing!! She made me feel sooo comfortable immediately, offered me something to squeeze on, & answered all of my questions. The best part was, it barely hurt; she did awesome! I couldn’t thank you more for such an incredible, smooth experience, Ashley! Keep being freaking cool!!
