The Collective Tattoo & Body Piercing

I've been to this shop a few different times now for both piercings and tattoos and have nothing but great things to say. The shop is extremely welcoming and inclusive to people of all backgrounds. I felt comfortable each time I walked in. The front desk staff are all absolute gems- extremely kind, attentive, and knowledgable. When getting my septum pierced, my experience was quick and painless. I've now had two tattoos done here and I'm overjoyed with both! I worked with Joe for my wrist tattoo, which is a tribute to my grandfather, and he gave me exactly what I was looking for. His work was efficient and reasonably priced. I recently worked with an artist doing a guest spot here, Joe College, to get a coverup done on my ankle and I am MORE than happy with it! It turned out beautiful and he made the experience so wonderful by engaging in conversation, educating me on tattooing, and asking tons of questions about what I'd like done. The owner of the shop is also so lovely - he asked me about myself, how I found the shop, how my experience here has been, and thanked me for being a patron. All in all, GREAT experience. I will continue to be a customer.

I’ve been following Maddie’s work for a while, so when I finally decided to get my brows done, she was my first choice. I originally came in wanting nano brows, but after looking at my brows, she recommended powder brows instead because I have thicker brows and she felt it would give me the most natural result. I really appreciated her honesty and expertise. The whole experience was amazing from start to finish. She carefully mixed my pigment, explained everything, and made me feel completely comfortable. When I saw my brows afterward, I was so happy. All the little sparse spots were filled in, and they still looked like my brows, just wayyyyy better. What I appreciate most is that she genuinely cares about her clients. She checked in on me during the healing process and made sure I knew I could reach out with any questions. If you’re thinking about getting powder brows, nano brows, lip blush, or freckles, book with Maddie. She’s talented, kind, and truly passionate about what she does. I’m so thankful I trusted her with my brows and couldn’t recommend her more.

If I could give 10 stars I would! It is very obvious from the moment you walk up to the door they are not shy about supporting human rights, being BIPOC and LGBTQ+ friendly and pro-choice. If your bigotry doesn't like that, then go elsewhere. Also, I find it relaxing and refreshing that young children are not allowed in (for long). I walk in and feel so at ease. Their decor is gorgeous! My first visit was a walk-in during the weekend. I knew I wanted a small realistic bird tattoo. They summoned Linsey to consult with me and she DELIVERED. The wait was maybe 20 minutes, and the design took around 15-30 minutes (based off of a photo). She wanted to make it larger, but I didn't want it to wrap around my arm. My only regret is that I didn't listen to her. I wish it were bigger. But I still love it. The details she was able to incorporate into such a small tattoo are amazing. And for a walk-in! It's been over a year and it still looks great. I had an appointment elsewhere for another tattoo when I got the bird, and after that experience I had to come back here. What I got at that other place was not what I had envisioned, and turned out very dark and difficult to tell what it was. It was disappointing as I had been following that artist on Instagram and really liked her work. I lived with it for 10 months thinking I would get used to it, but I never loved it. Once I decided I wanted a cover-up, Linsey was booked out about 3-4 months, but I expected that and was not in a rush. At the consult, she listened to my ideas to enhance the original piece and offered her professional opinion when my artistic vision wasn't always realistic or wouldn't look good on my skin vs paper. Of course I had a mental image of what I wanted, but I'll be the first to say I am a poet, not a visual artist. Her art EXCEEDED all expectations! I love it so much and at this point don't want anyone else to tattoo me. Linsey please don't ever leave! I recently got my second ear piercings on both ears and a left eyebrow piercing done by Ryan, and I had a great experience. Ryan was very knowledgeable, professional, and made me feel comfortable the entire time. He clearly explained the do’s and don’ts for aftercare and answered all of my questions without rushing. The shop itself was amazing, very clean, well organized, and had some really cool artifacts and decor that made the atmosphere unique and welcoming. Overall, I highly recommend this place and especially Ryan if you’re looking to get pierced. I’ll definitely be coming back in the future.

I spent years looking for a shop that I trusted to put their art on my skin. What made me choose the collective was their outstanding customer service by ways of lovely receptionists who are always personable and happy to help. It sets the tone for your service wonderfully. The artists there are passionate about the art they produce. They are extremely attentive, patient, and truly care about the person they are working with for each and every service. Their cleanliness is elite and was a major factor in choosing them. I’ve had tattoos done by Tim and Scott. I was also pierced by Ryan. The collective is like my spa day from the moment I walk in until the moment I walk out. Love you guys !
