Artisan Body Piercing and Tattoo - Virginia Beach

Kara is an amazing tattoo artist. They did two of my tattoos so far and I will definitely be there for a third! One of them is a cover up and you dont even notice there was a tattoo under it.

I made an appointment with Kelly for follow up on a tattoo she did previously. I call to confirm the appointment before arriving the day before, I drove from Chesapeake arrived and waited 20 minutes for her to come out and say she needed to reschedule due to somebody else having issues. I asked if she knew this why didn't she just call me, again she didn't seem to care - TERRIBLE customer service!! Kelly is NOT who I would recommend!

I walked in for a tattoo and everyone was so friendly! The receptionist was pretty helpful and the artist, Kara, did awesome at envisioning what I wanted based on a few photos. The whole process was smooth and the tattoo was done diligently and quick!

My son and I completed our themed tattoos together, and it was such a special experience! When my son turned 18, getting tattoos together was his idea, and I couldn’t have asked for a better artist to bring it to life. My son got a beautiful rising sun tattoo, and I got a moon tattoo—both turned out absolutely amazing. Josh does fantastic work and truly pays attention to detail. He made us feel comfortable, took his time, and delivered exactly what we envisioned. We both LOVE our tattoos and couldn’t be happier with the experience. Highly recommend Artisan Body Piercing and Tattoo and especially Josh if you’re looking for quality work and a great artist!

You're either going to get a 1/10 experience or a 10/10 experience depending on who's there that day. Some of the staff are absolutely rude and should never have perused a career that involves people, the rest are really kind, genuinely well knowledgeable, very professional and talkative... which is the only reason why this studio isn't getting a one star. I won't be coming back after the experience I had today. You didn't even look at my boyfriend's piercing for 5 seconds before telling him to leave, if you'd have taken the time to look, you'd see that more than 2mm of the bar is sticking out. Not just that, but you also mocked him telling him "it's not even close", not once but twice. As if he somehow was too stupid to understand the first time. This is not my boyfriend's first piercing, he knows when his body is ready for a downsize. On average my boyfriend waits 2-3 weeks to downsize, and surprise, he's never had any issues healing afterwards. He's also never had someone completely deny him a downsize, just flat out. In the lobby. This studio would have been five stars if I had never met these people! Take your chances if you dare!
