Houston Heights Tattoo & Piercing

Thanks to Wes for being professional, accommodating, knowledgeable and super easy to work with (he has pierced my flat and my rook and has sold me lots of different gorgeous jewelry). I will definitely continue to see him whenever I want new piercings/jewelry! Also thanks hugely to MJ who I have just started working with - she did a large custom piece for me as a memorial for my mom, and I am very happy with the art and the experience. She is very easy to work with and extremely accommodating and nice. Happy to continue to be a HHT customer!

Have had several great experiences here! The piercing team is very professional and APP certified, well worth the price to know I am getting accredited people taking care of my piercings! Will definitely be coming here for anything I want in the future. Special shout out to Wes! I went in for industrial and he specifically recommended my right ear for the right anatomy; he was exceedingly knowledgeable and professional. The process was super easy. This tattoo and piercing shop has a very welcoming environment and everyone seems to genuine care about giving high quality care.

As someone who's never had a tattoo, but has always wanted a few (perhaps eventually a sleeve), I took my time reading reviews and searching the web for a great place to go. I am so excited to have found Ricardo at Houston Heights Tattoo!! I looked at each artist's portfolio. Although they are all crazy talented, Ricardo's style seemed to align better with my tattoo goals. I booked a consult to see him. Showed him a couple images of what I want. Again, being a tattoo virgin, I needed someone who was going to be transparent with me and my expectations. I needed someone who was going to be honest and realistic about tattoo size and placement and emphasize the importance of what it COULD look like down the road. I needed someone to burst my (unrealistic) bubble!! Ricardo was very transparent, right from the jump -- which I greatly appreciated!! Him and I spoke on instagram DMs quite a bit after the consult, as I had many questions and several concerns. He took the time to message back and even after my tattoo, made me feel like I am able to reach out to him at any time with questions -- even after the service was completed. I was crazy nervous when I walked in. He made me feel at ease and calm... to my surprise, I sat through the tattoo like a champ. I went in with the mindset of just getting one tattoo, but decided why not -- he's got me for another hour so might as well get another! I am planning on coming back for my birthday in May! Ricardo has great bedside manners and he is an overall super cool guy and very kind. Could not have been happier with my first experience!! Now, let's talk about the shop. AWESOME VIBES. Literally. The best vibes you could experience coming to a tattoo shop. I feel it is necessary to ALSO GIVE A SHOUTOUT to the awesome girl that runs the front desk/reception. I'm bad with names. It's always busy when I walk in but she is running the show like a beast. I feel this was important to mention. :) Anyways... highly recommend this place. If you're on the fence about this place, I hope you give it a chance and hope you all enjoy as much as I did!! Thank you Ricardo! :D

I got my septum piercing done by bunz and it was the best experience ever!!! He said “ if you do it correctly, it doesn’t hurt “ and it didn’t at all. Like seriously no joke. It was less than 4 min and most of it was him getting the exact spot! , yes it was more than I planned to spend and the jewelry is separate and they don’t do outside jewelry, you buy from them but it’s worth it!!! And it’s was a cute vibe!!!! They were nice and didn’t make you feel uncomfortable, he took his time they explained EVERY THING to me in a way I understood … this pic was 2 weeks after it healed the video is from day of obviously

This was my first time at the shop, and Gabriel absolutely exceeded my expectations. He’s a great artist—very talented, quick, and incredibly personable. He made me feel comfortable from start to finish, and the conversation was great throughout the session. The results were amazing, and I couldn’t be happier with the work. Overall, a fantastic experience.
