Tribe Tattoo

Nevin is a champ and does some very original work and has the lightest and most efficient hand I've ever experienced. I got a couple pieces by him. Jess is an excellent piercer and evened out my lobes (I had a crappy piercing beforehand, she fixed it and now my ears look awesome). My partner got a neo trade flower by Alex that she loves, he's super friendly and easy to work with. Tribe is in general a well run shop. Go get some ink.

Yesterday my friend and I walked in to tribe after a poor experience at another local tattoo shop, we were quickly introduced to incredible artists who worked with us to design our dream tattoos. I worked with Ben, who is a very experienced artists, just new to tribe and the experience was perfect. He was very personable and professional, the tattoo itself didn’t take long at all. I was also very happy with the price. I’ve been to Tribe tattoo for three tattoos now and I’ve absolutely loved my experiences. I’ve brought two friends and they’ve also LOVED their tattoos. If you value actually sitting down with your artist and making your tattoo what you want it to be I would highly recommend Tribe tattoo

I got tattoos with my friends on Friday! We were able to walk in and get some flash books to look at. Alex did a great job with my first tattoo, he was really friendly and knowledgeable about placement and recommended spot that kept in mind future art! I had a great time getting to sit for some really cool art with a great artist. Alyse (I’m not sure about spelling) was great at doing my eyebrow piercing, I do get nervous with needles but she worked with me and we got it done in seconds! The whole shop was friendly and wonderful, I’m really thankful to Alex and all the staff that stayed late for us to get our art done in the same day! This was a great experience and we will definitely be back for more art and piercings!

I’ve had a great experience at tribe every time I’ve been there. Ben Granillo is my artist who’s done almost all of my tattoos. He is very professional and a funny guy, always is very clean and sterile workstation and makes sure I’m comfortable. The vibe at the shop is very nice, everyone is super friendly and interesting to talk to. Highly recommend this shop for any kind of work. Ben especially.

If you don’t want to read the full review just reference the photos (3 months healed) $250/hr for work that looks pretty good in parts and pretty terrible in others. Went to Elvis to add geometric filler around some existing tattoos on my upper arm, and gave him pretty much free rein on my elbow and forearm to make it a cohesive sleeve. Came in for an initial consultation and talked about adding a snake and some floral elements on the forearm with the geometry, I was genuinely excited. He said he would sketch up some designs and send them over about a week before my first appointment. After not hearing anything I messaged him and he said he was just going to add geometric filler and didn’t have anything sketched (maybe he forgot/didn’t take any notes during the consultation idk). Showed up for my initial appointment and all he had was some copy/paste geometric designs I’ve seen before and a few mandala options for the elbow. I mistakenly decided to trust the process, and didn’t want to lose my deposit so went ahead with the session. In the initial session he tattooed the filler design overlapping some of the tattoos I already had. I asked him if he could fix it and he just used white ink to try and hide the mistake. Seemed like a sloppy error but I decided to continue and trust the process. For the second session the forearm had only been lightly stippled with the outline of the pattern, and I told him I still wanted a snake. He decided to try and do a negative space concept with the snake, which sounded alright, but the execution was poor to say the least, the pattern is broken and the stippling looks terrible. The transition on the pit of my elbow is incredibly dark and has absolutely no natural flow, not to mention it’s incredibly scarred up even though I followed aftercare instructions to a t. Overall the whole experience felt rushed and sloppy with no desire to offer quality art, despite a pretty steep fee at $250/hr. I messaged the shop to ask for a partial refund so I can get another trusted artist to fix the work, they hit me with a “all sales are final” but did offer to touch it up for free. I explained everything written above about why I don’t trust Elvis to tattoo me again, and got nothing but crickets. I think he’s capable of smaller scale quality pieces if you look at his portfolio, and he’s genuinely a quality human, but I’m pretty disappointed with my tattoo overall and the shops inability to recognize bad work and offer some form of refund.
