Gypsy Rose Tattoo

Dave is amazing and so talented! He took a crazy idea and made it come to life with this beautiful sticker of a tattoo! Much respect!!!

So I got this tattoo... --- I decided to wait and really make sure of my decision. I had a tattoo done by some guy here and here's my experience: it was bad. I wanted a revolver tattoo on right hip and it will now be the first and only tattoo that I will ever have removed by laser. I had specifically said that I wanted simple line art, just the outline of the reference image that I found....lo and behold the guy is shading in the handle of the tattoo. I can say that I should have spoken up straight away, when I thought about why it was taking so long to do a simple line art, but when I looked down at my hip he had already started to shade in the tattoo... We never discussed payment until it was done and I was charged $600...for something I neither wanted nor specifically requested. I had reservations about posting a review because well, just looking at how they often respond to honest reviews....I can say that I don't like what I see. More importantly, the person who was giving me the tattoo said that the tattoo community here in Phoenix is a tight-knit. He said that they all know each other....yet, when I asked other tattoo parlors if they've ever heard of this one, they not only had no clue on who I was talking about, but they all confirmed to me that Phoenix does not really have a tight-knit community or at least a community that they are all a part of, and I have now gone to about 16 other parlors within the area, and a few more out towards the 303. I hate to admit it, but I hate my tattoo. Thankfully, I can get it removed, and I have the left side of my hip where I can get what I wanted, and now that I have found a better tattoo artist, a person who tattooed my entire back just the way I wanted it and just the way I requested it, I have someone that I can trust. Unrelated to the tattoo, I don't really agree with their philosophy. So it was not only a bad matchup on the art, it was also a bad matchup on personality, but it looks like only one of us found that out.

Felix was absolutely amazing! He worked with us to make sure everything was exactly what we wanted and was within our budget. The shop itself was nice too, everything was super clean.

Been coming here for years! The staff is super nice and the shop is always clean!! Definitely recommend this shop if you want good vibes and a amazing tattoo!! Fyi if you haven't been here in awhile they remodeled the shop and it looks amazing!!

Visited Gypsy Rose Tattoo with my sister and cousins while traveling, and they made us feel so welcome! They fit in all our walk-in tattoos, offered water/snacks, and created designs that matched each of our styles. I worked with Lloyd, while Sam, Brian and Jasmine tattooed my family—everyone did amazing work, you can tell the artists truly care about their craft and their clients! The new shop space already looks great, and I’d definitely come back on future trips. Highly recommend!
