Stay Cool Tattoo

I went for a flash tattoo event for Snoopy’s birthday and I will definitely be back! Shawn was quick, efficient and kind. This was my first tattoo in Arizona, so this will be my new spot!

The shop is ridiculously clean, the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and everyone there is genuinely cool (they definitely live up to the name). It doesn't have that intimidating tattoo shop vibe—it feels more like hanging out with friends who just happen to create amazing artwork. I got tattooed by Zach Pensmith, and I honestly couldn't be happier. His attention to detail is incredible, he's easy to work with, and somehow took the picture I had in my head and made it look way better on my skin. The only downside is now all my older tattoos are making me question my life choices. Every artist in the shop is insanely talented, so you really can't go wrong no matter who you book with. Everyone is friendly, professional, and you can tell they actually care about giving people a great experience—not just a great tattoo. Whether it's your first tattoo or your fiftieth, Stay Cool Tattoo is the place to go. Just be warned... you'll probably leave planning your next appointment before your current tattoo is even done healing. If you're looking for an exceptional tattoo experience in the Phoenix area, this is THE place to go! The atmosphere is electric (music is 10/10 btw), the shop is spotless, and hygiene is clearly a top priority. The A/C is also a lifesaver when you're escaping the Arizona heat. One of the owners, Zach Pensmith, was my artist and he absolutely knocked it out of the park on my full arm sleeve. I get compliments on it everywhere I go. Having previously lived in San Diego, it was a no-brainer to stop by their new shop and get some ink while I was in town. After nearly a decade of knowing Zach, I'm proud to call him a friend. His talent, professionalism, and attention to detail are second to none, and he's easily one of the best tattoo artists in all of AZ. That said, you really can't go wrong with any of the artists at Stay Cool Tattoo. The quality of work throughout the shop is incredible and speaks for itself, as seen by the impressive artwork spanning each wall in the shop. Whether it's your first tattoo or your next sleeve, you're in great hands. I can't recommend Stay Cool Tattoo enough and I'm stoked for my next session here!

Stay Cool is hands down my favorite shop in Arizona. The place is super clean, and everyone there is incredibly friendly and talented artists. It’s located in an awesome neighborhood and is surrounded by great shops. Zach, who always does such a great job, has done most of my tattoos, and I’ll definitely continue to go to Stay Cool for more.

I had an amazing experience at Stay Cool, the newest shop in the heart of Melrose! Right when you walk in, everyone is so friendly and very welcoming. I was able to get tattooed by Zach, who is an amazing artist and just all around solid person. Getting a new tattoo can be overwhelming at times, but the all around chill and welcoming vibes made the process so smooth and great. Zach and Shawn own the shop and had to mention Shawn as he was great to talk to and was very personable! If you want a shop that makes you feel welcomed and does amazing work, this is your place!
