I got my very first tattoo here with Victoria and it was such an amazing experience! She made me feel comfortable from start to finish and did an incredible job. I have since gone back and got two more from her. Everyone at the shop is super friendly and welcoming, and all of the artists create such a comfortable environment. The shop itself looks awesome inside — it has such a cool, homey vibe that instantly makes you feel relaxed. You can really tell they care about their clients and creating a great experience. Definitely recommend this shop if you’re looking for talented artists and good vibes!

I’ve been getting tattooed for over 20 years, and even though this was my first time working with Mi Vida Letras, I trusted them, specifically Oneal, with tattooing my whole chest after coming across their Instagram while searching for serious lettering artists and high-level tattoo work in Phoenix. First and foremost, this shop is extremely clean, professional, and clearly takes sanitation seriously. Personal protective equipment, cleanliness, and strict sanitary practices are treated as non-negotiable here, which should be the standard everywhere, but unfortunately isn’t. On the artistic side, Oneal’s attention to detail, technical ability, work ethic, and overall commitment to excellence are on another level. He took my vision and turned it into something far better than I could have imagined. I’ve sat through multiple sessions with him at this point, some lasting up to 10 hours, so I feel more than confident speaking on his consistency, his professionalism, and the overall environment at the shop. Paul Racks and Oneal are not playing around. They run a tight ship, hold the artists in the shop to a high standard, and have built an environment that feels both laid back and unmistakably professional. The quality speaks for itself, and so do the dozens of awards on the walls. Tattoos are permanent, so always keep in mind that you get what you pay for. If you cut corners on something that’s going to live on your body forever, don’t be shocked when you end up looking like a walking billboard for your own bad decisions. If you’re like me, you’ve probably already paid for several cover-ups of cheap tattoos that could have been dope pieces from the start if you’d just been patient and thorough.
