Guru Tattoo

Got my first tattoo at Guru and it was such an amazing experience, I’ve been back multiple times! Sophia is my go-to artist because not only does she make incredible tattoos, she’s also an outstanding person with the best vibe you can ask for. She specializes in American trad and she really knows how to pack in color so well. Check out her flash, it’s all super cool! Or get something custom, she makes very rad art. If you’re a fan of Love Island, she’s down to chat all day about it. She books up fast and for good reason! What I especially love about Guru is that it is built in an old, two-story house and the owners built out little alcoves for each artist to have their own mini shop space. Despite there being tons of talented and professional artists in the same area, that design choice elevates the tattoo experience and makes the shop feel a lot more intimate. I’ve never had an issue finding street parking nearby which is also a plus. If you’re in San Diego and itching for a new tattoo, look no further than Guru!!

I had a half day appointment with Izzy for 2 small/medium tattoos. My artwork is stunning and Izzy was wonderful as an artist and human to spend 4 hours with. The shop was very comforting and welcoming, snacks and water were available and my time flew by! Will definitely be returning to the shop and to Izzy!

I’ve been to Guru five times now and have gotten my first full sleeve done by the exceptional Artist Izzy, I’ll definitely be going back for more. The Staff as well is amazing and very welcoming.

Just started a Horimono back to chest, with Morgan. I haven't spent a couple hours in a chair in many years. The artwork that Morgan designed was wonderful and what I had envisioned for a long time. The artwork on the walls in the studio is great, every artists seems to love what they do which makes a big difference in the quality of work going on in this shop. I have a few more sessions lol, to go before it's done. I'll post a pic when we are finished!

I haven't had any ink done here but I have used the tattoo removal place that is part of the shop. It's called evolve. But every time I go through the shop the vibe is upbeat and fun. True artist working their craft in multiple stations. The art hanging on the walls should really be in a museum. Everyone in the shop is always smiling and friendly / inviting. Thanks for always making a friendly and warm environment.
