As a professional artist I wouldn't trust my skin with anyone but Terry Ribera. Consulting with him on my designs was an absolute joy and the resulting pieces are extraordinary. I travel from out of state and he is extremely accommodating to ensure I can get the most work done during my visit. The shop is clean, the staff are friendly and professional - and the decor is a work of art all its own. I hope you get the opportunity to work with Terry!

I brought an image of a Japanese sun rising out of the water with 7 red rays, 6 white to Hunter Knolmayer. Also including my old ships display lit numbers, 63(Kittyhawk) & 73(George Washington). Then light shimmering off the water to look like stars on a flag. It was supposed to be an American tribute to an existing tattoo I received while I was in the Navy, stationed in Japan. I asked him specifically for my design. I wrote down what I wanted and even drew him a picture. Hunter came up with his design of a risen sun with 16 red rays. Ignoring what I asked wrote and drew for him. He showed me as I walked in to get tattooed. I told him the sun was incorrect. We worked on the water and numbers first session. Weeks later I returned. Hunter did not fix his mistake and insisted on his design. I trusted him. I let him put his artwork on me. I returned a few weeks after that to finished the tattoo, he drew up a design for the next tattoo and did not show me until I walked in to finish the first tattoo. I did not approve of his art again and this time refused to let him tattoo his new work until his old work was complete. He kicked me out of the shop. After this incident I became very distrustful toward Hunter, as he would not listen to what I wanted so I looked up what he came up with and tattooed on me. To discover his image on my arm to be equivalent to a Swastika to major populations, much of Southeast Asia. Hunter put a hate flag on my arm. When I brought this to the Better Business Bureau they told me to contact the Remington tattoo owner, Terry. I did. He told me to come back in and they would tattoo me again. I need this laser removed. Remington refused to cover the cost to remove it. Do not trust this shop. Update: I do appreciate your offer to tattoo me. I do not want this sun altered. I want it erased to be replaced with my design. Hunter did not listen to me. He broke my trust when he tattooed a hate flag on me without my knowledge. Because of him, his actions and your response to this situation I do not trust you nor your shop. If you would like to right his wrong, pay for my laser removal.

I am OBSESSED. My fiancé gifted me a custom portrait of my cat, Molly. Terry didn’t just paint a cat, Terry painted MY cat: the exact tilt of her head, the tufts of fur in her ears, her little velvety nose! The colors are rich and alive, the detail is borderline unreal, and the whole thing radiates so much warmth and care. This is not a portrait, this is a piece of my heart hanging on my wall. If you are even remotely considering commissioning Terry, stop thinking and just do it. You will not regret it. 10/10, immeasurable, would recommend to literally everyone I know

I had an amazing experience getting tattooed by Jasmine. She was incredibly professional, kind, and easy to talk to, which made the whole session comfortable and fun. The tattoo is extra special to me because it incorporates photos I’ve taken of one of our local estuaries, and Jasmine did an incredible job turning them into a stunning, artistic layout. Call or email Terry Ribera to schedule the best go-to cover up artist in San Diego. I scheduled a cover up for a regretful tattoo I've gotten and was able to get it fully covered up with a sleeve. Terry will work with you on what you want to get your cover up done with and will do a hand drawn mock up of what will be done during the consultation. During the ink sessions Terry is expertly skilled and fast tattooer. Is overall skill and experience really show and pop with each of his work custom tailored to person to person giving a true feeling of one of a kind.
