Every time I get tattooed by Max I feel more like myself. Their custom designs are amazing and they always come up with something even cooler than I could have imagined. They’re super kind and nice to talk to and good about checking in and making sure you have a good experience. I’ve gotten 5 tattoos from them and they’ve all healed great and still look awesome years later.

I can’t recommend Rocky Howe enough!!! They made the entire process so comfortable, and they’re the nicest person ever! They have such a soft hand, and made multiple hour pieces as comfortable as possible. Not to mention how gorgeous their work is! All 5 of the pieces they’ve done on me have healed up beautifully, and have held wonderfully years later. I get the most compliments on the tattoos I have from them. I have had the pleasure of visiting Wolf and Shadow tattoo on 4 separate occasions and had a wonderful experience every time. Rocky Howe, in particular, is an unbelievably talented tattooer that I would recommend to anyone- especially if you are in the market for anything anime or fantasy related. I have been to many different artists and had positive experiences with all of them, but Rocky consistently blows me away. They deliver quality work, as well as being incredibly accommodating and considerate. All of my pieces by Rocky thus far have exceeded my expectations and healed beautifully, with every visit leaving me eager to plan my next.  I'm not local to San Diego, but it is beyond worth it to me to travel over an hour to be tattooed by them! I can’t recommend Mariah Hernandez enough! From start to finish, she was incredibly professional, talented, and kind. I have a disability that causes involuntary muscle spasms, which can make things like getting a tattoo extra challenging — but she handled everything with so much patience, understanding, and care. Not only did she make sure I was comfortable and safe throughout the process, but she also adapted with ease and confidence, never once making me feel like I was a burden or complication. Her steady hand and creative vision brought my idea to life better than I ever imagined. The final piece is stunning, and I’ve received so many compliments on her work already. If you’re looking for an artist who’s not only exceptionally skilled but also deeply respectful and inclusive, Mariah is the one. I’m so grateful for the experience and can’t wait to come back for my next piece!

Got some flash done by Alyssa and it came out amazing. Everyone in the shop is so nice and the vibe is very cozy & welcoming. Will definitely be returning for more work
