Best decision I could have made. I don't get tattoos on a whim every piece is carefully thought out, and I spend a lot of time finding the right artist. MimiSama exceeded every expectation. Back in March, I decided I wanted a tattoo to celebrate a milestone birthday. After finding MimiSama, I booked my appointment for May, and from the moment I arrived, I knew I had made the right choice. She was incredibly kind, easygoing, and fun to talk to, which made the entire process feel comfortable and stress free. This was my first large tattoo, and I wanted an anime inspired piece. MimiSama listened to my ideas, added her own creative vision, and designed something that went far beyond what I had imagined. The final result is absolutely stunning, and you can truly tell how much passion and care she puts into her work. If you're looking for an artist who specializes in anime tattoos or you're simply looking for someone incredibly talented and creative I can't recommend MimiSama enough. 11/10 experience. I will definitely be coming back for future pieces!

I had booked a appointment with Mimi-sama to do a unique tattoo, when booking it was transparent communication and getting all the ideas lock in for her to do her magic. The experience was professional and diligent, whats was most important was the passion and excitement for the piece of art that got me to love it even more when it was done. Today was my first time visiting North. Super clean studio with a calm atmosphere. I really enjoyed the serenity here. Would definitely recommend this studio, especially if you are like me and don’t really vibe with the cluttered feeling in most other tattoo studios. My tattoo was done by the extremely talented Mimi Sama. This was my first tattoo session with her. She made me feel comfortable throughout the entire session. We talked about the overall design and placement and she helped me to finalize those ideas. Time quickly flew by during the session because of her soft touch. This was the least painful tattoo I’ve ever gotten, while also being the most complex. Her line work, shading, and use of negative space along with touches of color are phenomenal. She took my idea and brought it to life better than I could have imagined. After the session we got to chat about shared passions of motor sports and pokemon. She is an incredibly friendly and professional artist, that prioritized my comfort and happiness. I will definitely be returning to North and Mimi Sama for more tattoos in the future 🤘

When I sent MimiSama an inquiry in February I assumed that it’d take a few months to book with her. Her work is so unique that I had assumed she was one of those brusque and tortured tattoo artists who was slow to respond. To my shock MimiSama responded almost immediately with great enthusiasm. We booked our session for May. I travelled from Wisconsin to get this tattoo done because I was so in love with her work. The warmth that I received via email in February extended into our session in May. MimiSama is a true professional who cares about the people she tattoos as much as she cares about the art that she inks. Our intro consultation was amazing. When I saw the art she created I realized how carefully she fused my concept with her artistry. It was exactly what I hoped for. We worked together on size and placement. She was so patient as we tried a few iterations. At one point I began saying, “the only thing I’m sad about…” and she quickly responded “tell me!” I was immediately at ease. The result of the appointment was gorgeous, somehow exactly what I wanted. And something I will cherish forever. She works quickly and diligently and the end product is spectacular. MimiSama, thank you so much for an incredible experience and an in incredible work of art.

GREAT shop! 10/10 experience. I got a tattoo from MimiSama in April and I’m so happy with it! She’s definitely the best anime and manga tattoo artist in the Bay Area. She’s kind and attentive, and her work is amazing! She’s a lovely person you can talk to and feel comfortable with. I highly recommend her!
