Birdhouse Tattoo

I was tattooed by Felix a couple of weeks ago, and while he seems like a lovely person, I am disappointed with the tattoo I ended up with. While, for the most part, I think the tattoo is well done, it has shading that I do not like, and I did not ask for. The stencil did not have nearly as dramatic shading as my tattoo does, and as it heals and becomes clearer, I only dislike it more. I know that I am at fault for some of the issues, and I should have more clearly established that I wanted fine line only, or explicitly said that I wanted no shading, but I wish that he had spent a little more time during the consultation and stenciling, or checked in with me before beginning the shading. I did establish during online consultations that I wanted the tattoo to match my current one and provided photo references of it, and it has no shading. He said that he had a sense of its style and would try his best to match them. Admittedly, this is also on me for assuming, but I wish he would have asked me to clarify. I should have spoken up when he mentioned the shading, and I regret not doing so, but during the tattooing process, he did not check in on me, and I wish he would have done so. My past artist stopped multiple times during my tattoo to double-check if I liked how the tattoo was going, and how I was doing, and I think that could have avoided this. I wish I could say that I loved this tattoo, but the shading ruins it for me. It doesn’t match my pre-existing tattoo, which was my main desire, and doesn’t help my dislike towards it. All in all, it is a very permanent, unfortunate, learning experience.

Had an amazing experience here with Justin last week!! Me and my friends picked some beautiful flash and they fit me into their schedule first thing the next morning. I will treasure my doggy-mermaid for the rest of my doggy life 🎉🐶💗 My friends also got work from Noble and Pedro who were also extremely kind and welcoming. Wonderful conversations and beautiful tattoos all around 💗💗

I got tattooed here by Grey (@birdsolitaire on ig) and I was really impressed with the space. First off Grey is really talented! They were super responsive about making changes to the custom design and their work on the day was super even and well done. The space was really clean they allowed for a lot of breaks. I felt very safe and comfortable. My sister was also getting tattooed and she was so relaxed I could have sworn she was close to falling asleep lol. It was one of my best tattoo experiences all around. Plus they are just such a talented artist!! I think the studio was so nice as well. I liked the set up and how open it was. Even though multiple artists were working I didn’t feel like out in the open or vulnerable in any way. Everyone there was so nice! Also the flash books in the front were so cool to flip through! I’m def coming back for a design I saw in one!

Got my friend large piece done by Pedro! Such a caring guy and did beautifully on the line work! makes sure his clients feel well and comfortable :) felt very safe even with my panties out! price was so good for the size and quick for the size! i thought it would take so much longer !!! tysm for the tattoo!!

I had Kat as my artist. They were amazing with being accommodating after a huge interest in a Friday the 13th flash. They honored the price for a different day as they couldn't fit everyone on the 13th. This was only my second tattoo artist and my 4th tattoo so I was extremely nervous/anxious. Kat was super nice and kind. Highly recommend them! Additionally the place is cute and very calming. I had never been before and was pleasantly surprised on how green it was with the plants. I will be back!
