4 years ago, I was diagnosed with cervical cancer, and the surgery caused a large scar. The sight of the scar was traumatizing. Ruby specializes in scar coverup, we worked together to create a tattoo, and it turned out better than I expected! The tattoo was nearly painless. The shop is beautiful and clean. Most importantly, Ruby is compassionate, flexible, trustworthy, and friendly. I recommend Ruby!

I had the BEST experience with Ruby! I went to Ruby for scar cover up and she is very respectful. She is calm, kind and relatable which made me feel so comfortable, and I don’t really feel that way with very many people. Her open attitude toward collaborating with her clients and her flexibility made it easier for me to speak up about any changes I wanted to make. I felt pampered in her super clean and cute studio with numbing spray and extra pillows. ☺️ Ruby worked with my schedule which was helpful since I was traveling from out of state. My tattoo truly speaks to who I am because Ruby is a great listener- she heard what I wanted even when I had a hard time articulating it. Her work is GORGEOUS and she works her ass off! I am forever grateful and appreciative! ♥️

When I wanted to memorialize my baby nephew, Logan, Ruby was the first tattoo artist I contacted. As an illustrator of wildlife picture books, I have very high standards. Not just any old tattoo artist would do. I had seen Ruby's stunning work in the form of a bat on the hand of a friend who rehabilitates wild bats (last photo). She managed to capture the spirit of the animal with delicate shading and realistic features. It made a huge impression on me. When appointment day arrived, I felt both anxious and elated. This being my first tattoo ever, I did not know what to expect. Ruby immediately put me at ease when I arrived, played my favorite music, and made 7 hours feel like two. Ruby first showed me my tattoo design just before she began, and after making a few minor tweaks, she incorporated Everything I mentioned in my new client request form--a mother and baby sloth, a hummingbird feeding at a honeysuckle, a bumble bee and hibiscus flowers. 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤 Ruby completed all the line work on my quarter sleeve in the first sitting. I returned twice for the shading, so delicate and nuanced. I am frequently complimented and asked "who did your tattoo?" The brilliant Ruby Gore did it. 🖤 Simply elegant!
