Mama Bird Tattoo

I got the coolest bat tattoo from artist Lily! She knocked it out of the park and I was so happy with the outcome. No only did she give me a great tattoo, she thoughtfully explained the process, made me feel comfortable, and made sure I was feeling good about the tattoo she was giving me. On top of that, Mama Bird Tattoo and the other artists there make for such a good/comfortable vibe, that I recommend them to everyone I know.

This is a place of strength, safety, and community. Scents of cedar, lavender, and sage, old brick walls and wooden furniture, plants adorning the skylight and windowsills, and kind practitioners welcomed me into the space. I did a lot of research into tattoo shops, artists, and styles before deciding on Mama Bird Tattoo for my first piece, and I'm very happy with my decision. Sydney encouraged me to take my time ensuring the design, placement, and sizing was correct. She checked in with me at each step and consistently reassured these anxious bones throughout the session. My new tattoos are awesome, and Sydney was mindful of their healing and how they'd look in the future with her technique. I had the lovely opportunity to meet Lora, the shop owner, as well; she was kind and inclusive. These are good folks through and through, and the studio feels like a home away from home. I can't wait to go back.

i got tattooed by sydney (@_bone.broth_) back in october and it was such a great experience! very easy to book with her and when a scheduling issue came up sydney was very apologetic and willing to figure out another time that worked for the both of us! she did my tattoo fully freehand and was super communicative, respectful and constantly checked in to see if i liked the direction she was going with the design. i wanted a sparkly, starry ornamental filler for the rest of my sleeve and sydney gave me exactly what i wanted! :-) beautiful space, reasonable pricing, good vibes and good music — i will be back for you sydney!!

Lora is awesome! We have followed them to multiple shops/ conventions and my partner and I have never been disappointed! I can guarantee that there will be an extreme level of professionalism as well as care with each client. The vibes in the shop are always amazing and the pieces are *chefs kiss*. I always recommend people to Nest as well as Mama Bird Tattoo when they ask for references on where to go. Between my partner and I, we have ~20 pieces from Lora, we have some fresh tattoo pictures as well as healed pictures attached, you will not be disappointed!

I haven’t been to this shop yet, but I have MANY tattoos from Lily and Lora that I absolutely LOVE!! Lily is amazing at hyper-realistic black & grey tattoos and absolutely nails the chrome look. Lora is amazing with woodcut style! Seattle, you are so lucky to have these amazing artists. Denver misses y’all!
